The richest 1% of the global population currently owns nearly two-thirds of all new wealth created since 2020. This staggering accumulation amounts to $42 trillion, which is almost twice as much as the combined wealth of the bottom 99% of the world’s population. Globally, the poorest of the poor total more than 800 million.
