The Tao of Zoe
The Tao-dog is the eternal, nameless, and indescribable flow of the
universe. Poo-dog is seeing everything as it is, without preconceptions
or illusion, unburdened by knowledge or experiences.
In the state of poo-dog, there is no right or wrong, less or more, better or worse.
There only is awareness. Woof-wei is
how to master life by understanding the inherent nature of all things,
and then choosing ones actions accordingly. Then, through non-action,
nothing is left undone.
The Ten Principles of Ultimate Understanding (Woof-Wei)
- Simpleness: Keep life simple. When it's cold in the winter, stay in
the sunshine. When it's hot in the summer, stay in the shade.
- Smartfulness: Fix your roof before it rains. Dig your well before you
are thirsty. Pay your bills before they are due.
- Mindfulness: Practice catching bugs with your teeth to help you stay
alert.
- Woodfulness: Walk in the woods at least twice a day. If there are no
woods near where you live, move to a place near some woods.
- Eatfulness: Find a high-fiber, nutritious food you like, and
exclusively eat it every day. (It's OK to occasionally eat a bite or two
of elk poop as a treat.)
- Sleepfulness: Take a nap every day to clear your palate and mind.
- Avoidfulness: Avoid newspapers, TV shows, alcohol,
cigarettes, jelly beans,
carpeting, porno films, Wal-Mart, wrestling matches, and cats. They're all bad for
you. (Some weed every now and then is OK.)
- Nowness: Be still and live in "The Now." (It's actually the only
place where you can live.)
- Treatfulness: Treat others with no preconceptions. If they smile, wag
your tail. If they snarl, chomp their ass.
- Peeness: Flow with the universe as your pee flows with the forest
floor.

In the landscape of Zoe Tzu, there is neither
better nor worse. The varmints in the woods grow naturally, some long, some short.
